Today we all went down and talked with the Marshmellow Puppies, one of the younger teams that we met at the first competition. They had asked us to come down and talk to them about our robot, which we did today. We started out the day by running our robot for them (they were nice enough to provide a table and everything for us, so we didnt have to bring much). Our first (and only) 400 point run was witnessed today. They were very impressed, but we were even more surprised. However, it was a great start to the meeting. We showed them our presentation and let them play with the MagLev, and they seemed interested in it as well. We showed them the details of our robot and pointed out all the deatils in the CAD model. We also went through all our runs slowly and explained how we did it programming and building wise, as well as the process we went through to reach that point. Overall I think it was a great experience for the girls, and also Emma Violet and I all enjoyed talking with the girls and teaching them. Also we called Mia and the girls got to talk with a real live Australian. i think they liked it. They learned about the kind of stuff they get to do in Australia, and it was very cool. I think it was a very good meeting, and maybe look forward to doing it with other teams.
