Antipodes competed in the 2011 Maker Faire FTC Exhibition Tournament. In addition to competing, the girls were able to: see one of their favorite events, Maker Faire; test drive an FRC robot; and be embassadors for FIRST and FTC, displaying their robot to many interested passers by.
Antipodes started off with a tie and a loss, but swept their last 5 qualifying matches, moving into first seed going into the alliance selections. They were able to score well, with scores in the 70's, 80's, 90's, and a top score of 102. The girls chose their first scrimmage partner, the Jefferson High School boys, to be their alliance partners for the playoffs. They swept their semi-finals matches, but were thwarted by an alliance of the Jefferson High School girls team and Phoenxtrx in the finals.
